Usher/Greeter
Being an usher is one of the most important jobs within the church. From the moment that you put on your usher tag, you become the embodiment of the New Hope Lutheran Church. How you look, what you say to visitors and members will help set the tone for their entire worship experience.

Ushers/Greeter
As an usher you will greet people, distribute worship bulletins, help visitors find their seats, collect the offering and deliver them to the altar. You will also act as Pastor’s helper at all times.
Ushers are scheduled on a rotating basis and depending on the number of ushers signed up per service, you could expect to serve once per month to once every other month. You will receive a schedule via email.
- If you are unable to usher you are asked to find a replacement for that Sunday.
- If you are unable to find a replacement, please inform your scheduled partner so that they can recruit a substitute when they arrive at the service.
- You may be asked from time to time to fill in for an usher who is ill or cannot attend their scheduled shift.
