Biography - Pastor Kathryn Cox


Rev. Kathryn Cox, Senior Pastor, Pastor Kathryn Cox was born into a military family and has lived in California, Georgia, Florida,
Connecticut, Turkey, and Texas, experiencing many different cultures. She received her BS and MA in elementary education and taught elementary and English as a Second Language.

Pastor Kathryn also worked for many years in sales and marketing, gaining experience in many aspects of life before God called her to the ministry. God's call was clear and strong and she received her MD from LSPS/Wartburg Seminary/LSTC, serving as an intern at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Chalmette, LA.

She was called to the Texas border in Harlingen at Grace Lutheran Church and then heard the call of God to New Hope Lutheran Church in Keller, TX A church that was only 15 years old and was looking for a leader with new vision. 

Pastor Kathryn has a passion for spreading God's Word to the unchurched through preaching, evangelism, and mission outreach. She is surrounded by good volunteers to help New Hope Lutheran Church fulfill the purpose God has for it.

Pastor Kathryn lives happily with her Yorkshire Terrier, Lady Emily of York IV and  has two wonderful adult children. Her son, Jason, is recently married to Diana and they live in Dallas. Her daughter, Kimberly, lives in Fort Worth.
